A bit about me

Since 2013, I’ve had the deep honour of walking alongside people who are seeking peace in the midst of life’s struggles—while also wanting to stay rooted in their spiritual or religious traditions. Whether you're facing grief, guilt, questions of identity, relationship challenges, trauma, or spiritual unrest, I’m here to support you with compassion and care.

Over the years, I’ve supported thousands of people in exploring their inner world while drawing on the strength of their spiritual practices—whether Christian, Indigenous, Buddhist, or other faiths. I believe healing isn’t just about resolving pain; it’s about becoming more fully yourself in the presence of the sacred.

I’m a Registered Psychotherapist with the Ontario College of Registered Psychotherapists (CRPO) and a member of the Canadian Association of Spiritual Care (CASC). My education includes a degree in Philosophy and a Master’s degree in Theology: Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy. I have completed extensive training in multi-faith chaplaincy, including a year-long clinical residency at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton.

Additionally, I’ve completed psychotherapeutic training in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
I’m certified to facilitate crisis interventions and debriefs for individuals and groups that have experienced traumatic and distressing events through the International Critical Stress Foundation (ICISF).

I’ve worked as a Pastoral Counsellor for East Region Mental Health Services in Hamilton, a Grief and Loss Counsellor at Heart House Hospice in Mississauga, a Chaplain at Homewood Health Center in Guelph and a Spiritual Care Provider at Peterborough Regional Health Centre.

I am Anishinaabe and a member of Saugeen First Nations. I grew up in the Lutheran Church, was a member of a United Church before moving to Peterborough, and have also been a long-time member of Buddhist, Yogic, and Indigenous spiritual communities.

Along with professional roles I have taught meditation both publicly and in a Buddhist center where I volunteered as the Education and Program Coordinator. Additionally, I owned my own meditation and Tai Chi instruction business where I have taught in schools, workplaces and faith organizations.

I love to read, and if not at a park with my partner and two children, you can likely find me perusing a used book store or little free library.

My personal interest and professional development include yoga teacher training, tai chi instructor training, training in Indigenous teaching and learning at Wilfrid Laurier´s Centre for Indigegogy, and gender & sexuality competency training.

I feel passionately drawn to this work because I believe that when you heal, we all heal. I believe your family members are my neighbours; that your workplace or business is a vital part of our shared community, and that having healthy people, healthy families, and a healthy community will benefit everyone’s continued health and healing. I truly want you to feel at peace with yourself so that you can pursue your spiritual life while feeling less burdened.
